About
Glenn Love is a Toronto-based musician working in dark electro-industrial music.
He has been releasing music since 1995, first in acid jazz, electro and trip-hop, solo and with bands. Exclaim! described his self-released album Cruel Utopia (2001) as "sort of Yello meets Kruder and Dorfmeister, but much darker." In 2002 he signed with the German label Sonic-X, where Belle Epoque (2005), Cryptesthesia (2008) and Delusion of Reprieve (2011) were released. The (R)Age Electric EP followed in 2015, and the Cheetah EP in 2018. Cheetah reached No. 11 on the Deutsche Alternative Charts singles chart twice in March 2019.
Love has toured Canada and Europe several times, with eight performances during Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig. He has also played Festival Vitesse Lumière in Quebec City, Kinetic Festival in Montreal, and the NXNE, EBM Fest and Aftermath festivals in Toronto.
His recent releases are the album The Uncollected Dead (2023), the mini album Is Anybody Out There and the single Invincible (both 2025). Is Anybody Out There placed four times on the Deutsche Alternative Charts singles chart in June and July 2025, peaking at No. 9, with the same placings in the American Alternative Charts.
New material continues with dark electro themes and moves toward what can be called new dark wave, dark tech or dark groove.
